TAP

Tap dancing classes at VLDA are fun and popular. Students are encouraged to explore and master complex rhythm in their pursuit of dance excellence…’ Your feet make the music!’ Tap styles range from the traditional choreography of Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire and the Broadway musicals of the 20th century through to the more recent ‘street style’ Tap. At VLDA we teach these and the new Tap ‘N’ Beats syllabus and the Grade syllabi of BAL (Ballet Australasia Limited) Tap. Students can take part in the annual Cecchetti Choreographic competition to perform their own routines. Talented Tap students can be considered for Tap eisteddfod solos and VLDA groups. Our annual VLDA dance concert showcases the dancing of all our Tap students.
